What started 25 years ago as a tribute to Ventura County
More than 70,000 people are expected at the 25th Anniversary California Strawberry Festival on May 17 and 18 at Strawberry Meadows of College Park, 3250 S. Rose Ave., Oxnard, where organizers estimate 1.6 million of the bright-red berries will be devoured.
