It was refreshing to note that a site in Agoura Hills has emerged as a potential location for the Conejo Valley’s long-awaited biotechnology incubator.
According to a recent conversation with co-founder Brent Reinke, a willing landlord has offered to make millions of dollars in potentially invaluable improvements to the site in order to ready it to serve as an incubator for a new generation of biotech and biomedical startups.
Of course we’d rather see the new incubator located a few Highway 101 exits to the west, where Ventura County might claim it as part of its territory.
But opportunity knocks in unusual ways and we are excited at the prospect of seeing new businesses sprout from a biotechnology incubator that can offer synergy, professional services and financing under one roof.
We will be watching the evolution of this project with great interest.
