EmailAfter undergoing heart pacemaker implant surgery Sept. 8, Santa Barbara County’s 3rd District Supervisor Brooks Firestone was at his Santa Ynez home two days later recuperating, his aide Jimmy Swanson said.
Doctors at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital said Firestone was having irregular heartbeats and ordered tests for him.
Firestone is expected to spend the next week recuperating. He has said he does not plan to seek re-election.
