Another tenant was added to the increasingly upscale La Cumbre Plaza in recent weeks.
Macerich officials, who own and operate La Cumbre Plaza, said they intend to update and upgrade the mall by constructing trellises and a “tranquility garden” within the next year.
The project is intended to enhance the areas around the expanded Williams-Sonoma building and recently opened shops like Janie and Jack, J. Crew, Marmalade Cafe, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Tiffany & Co. and the new Louis Vuitton.
“If you look at the stores in La Cumbre Plaza, they’re not entirely upscale,” said Alice Love, senior marketing manager for the La Cumbre Plaza and the Pacific View Mall in Ventura. “We still have some great retailers and we do feel that we’re bringing a well-balanced retail mix to the shopping center, which is undergoing lots of physical improvements.”
