Los Osos businessman Leonard Adolph Delk, who is charged with defrauding investors of nearly $3 million, pleaded not guilty Jan. 8 in a San Luis Obispo court.

Delk, 80, who owns LAD Management Co., faces eight felony charges related to embezzlement and theft, and illegal business practices, according to court records.

Some of Delk’s investors are from San Luis Obispo and Ventura counties. Delk was in custody in lieu of posting $750,000 bail, according to published reports.
