At least one Santa Barbara business may get a boost in the wake of the Jesusita Fire’s destruction.
Robert Irvine, construction project manager with Santa Barbara-based project consulting firm Process PCS, said home renovation and property redevelopment promises to be one of the bright spots in a year marred by economic turmoil and plummeting home prices.
“The unfortunate situation does present some opportunities with all the anticipated Tea Fire construction,” Irvine said. “In a buyer’s market there is a desire for sellers to maximize the property’s potential, which often means extensive renovation.”
