Ventura County sheriff’s deputies and a crime analyst from Thousand Oaks were honored for their roles in arrests linked to a regional elder abuse financial fraud ring.
Analyst Amanda Carr made an identification of two suspects leading to their arrest after more than $130,000 was stolen over two months. The Thousand Oaks bike patrol also worked on the arrests of a female driver and others who took deposits from elderly victims for the promise of providing nursing care at a later date.
