As one of the largest privately held companies in the textile service industry, Santa Barbara-based Mission Linen Supply is setting an industry standard for running an environmentally friendly operation.
Providing linens, uniforms and related products through more than 50 facilities in five states, the family company has realized that being green saves the environment — as well as some serious cash.
Mission Linen has been practicing water conservation and reclamation for more than 40 years, but its recently expanded efforts have won awards. The company is reducing its environmental impact by outfitting its facilities with the latest in wastewater pre-treatment systems, water reclamation processes and energy-efficient systems.
