• First up is the 2009 Ventura County Economic Outlook Conference, slated for Sept. 10 at the Westlake Hyatt. Economist Mark Schniepp will have a forecast for not only the housing market in Ventura, but also its regions and the overall state economy. For information on registration, which includes breakfast, go to www.forecastconference.info.
• The Ventura County Housing Conference is set for Sept. 30 at the Ventura County Office of Education Conference Center in Camarillo. Author and motivational speaker Terry Paulson is keynoting the conference, which will focus on leadership in the housing industry. The event will also feature “industry updates, workshops, a table-top trade show and an interactive town hall meeting dedicated to increasing the awareness of issues surrounding the supply, need and cost of housing in Ventura County.” For more information, contact conference organizer Ruth Ballin at Ballin Marketing & Public Relations at (805) 218-0080 or visit www.vchome.org.
