Jeffers Richardson, director of the recently opened Firestone Walker Barrelworks in Buellton, calls the place a beer sanctuary, a cathedral of barrels and a padded room for beer geeks. It becomes obvious after a few sips at the tasting bar that the beers and ales aged in oak barrels — many of them retired wine…
