Ventura County District Attorney Gregory Totten slapped four Gold Coast Transit employees with criminal charges today for snagging cash from bus fare boxes.

Ventura County District Attorney Gregory Totten slapped four Gold Coast Transit employees with criminal charges today for snagging cash from bus fare boxes.

Two of the workers, Antonio Maldonado Chavez and Jorge Garibay Alvarado, were charged with a total of nine felony counts of misappropriation of public funds totaling $8,800. Their job duties included transferring funds from the buses to the cash depository.

Misdemeanor charges were filed against two mechaincs, Jonathan Trujillo and Anthony Cribbs.

All four are scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 30.
