Two downtown Santa Barbara restaurants could soon launch new locations in the the Camino Real Marketplace in Goleta.

Pascucci’s, a classic Italian restaurant, and Jane, an American bistro, are in talks with the property owner to add new locations in the plaza.

Design plans for a renovated 7,200-square-foot detached building in the 500,000-square-foot commercial center are going before the Goleta Design Review Board on Feb. 10. The meeting is a preliminary and conceptual review of the project.

The project doesn’t include building any new square footage, and the biggest proposed changes are reconfigured entryways, painting and lighting. According to project documents filed with the city, the proposed renovations will not substantially change the existing projects’ “harmonious relationship” with neighboring buildings. The designs aim to make the property blend architecturally with the existing buildings.

Pascucci’s owners declined to comment as lease negotiations are ongoing. A call to Jane seeking information about their deal wasn’t returned as of press time. Mark Ingalls, a representative for Camino Real Marketplace owner Mark Linehan, did not respond to a request for comment.

Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. has self-distributed its beer since it opened in November 2010. But due to growing demand the company decided to outsource distribution in October of last year. Previously, the brewer had signed with Craft Beer Guild of San Diego in early 2012 for some Southern California distribution. The brewery signed with Pacific Beverage Co. in November 2014 to take over nearly all of Figueroa’s distribution in the Tri-Counties. Shortly after the deal was signed with Pacific, the company started talking with Craft Beer Guild Los Angeles to distribute its beer in Los Angeles and Orange counties. Figueroa officially signed with Craft Beer Guild of Los Angeles this month and started its partnership on Jan. 12. The distribution company will manage current and new Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. accounts throughout great Los Angeles.
“Signing with Craft Beer Guild of Los Angeles allows us to consolidate our Southern California distribution footprint,” said Sales Director Alex Jones in a release.
“Craft Beer Guild’s parent company, L. Knife & Sons, based on the East Coast, is a well-respected distribution company operating for over a hundred years,” brewery President Jaime Dietenhofer said in a release. “That kind of experience and history is exactly what we look for when forming partnerships.”
