Easton Baseball/Softball is moving its headquarters from Van Nuys to Thousand Oaks, the company announced on Aug. 20.

Easton Baseball/Softball makes baseball and softball equipment and apparel. In a news release, the company said it plans to open a 90,000-square-foot global headquarters in Thousand Oaks. The building will have room for more than 100 employees.

“Our new facility in Thousand Oaks meets our unique needs from a sales, marketing and R&D perspective, and it also represents our leading brand position as well as our commitment to innovation and moving the game forward,” said Todd Harman, executive vice president of Easton Baseball/Softball, in the news release. “The Easton brand is built around the concept of sports engineering, and this new facility will amplify our ability to create products that deliver real and meaningful performance advantages to the athletes we serve.”

Thousand Oaks Mayor Al Adam said in the same news release that Easton will be a great addition the city’s business community.

“We are thrilled to welcome Easton, one of the most iconic and innovative baseball and softball brands in the nation, to our city,” Adam said.

Easton Baseball/Softball’s new headquarters will also have a 15,000-square-foot indoor training facility where athletes will train and help Easton develop new products.

The company was formerly owned by Scotts Valley-based Easton-Bell Sports, but was sold to Exeter N.H.-based Performance Sports Group Ltd. in February of 2014 for $330 million. Performance Sports Group is best known for its Bauer Hockey line of products.
