Thousand Oaks-based biotech giant Amgen said Feb. 23 it will sell about $700 million in bonds on the Swiss market.
Amgen said it would sell 700 million Swiss Francs worth of bonds. That equals about $708 million.
Amgen submitted the bonds to the Swiss market for pricing Feb. 23 and said it expected to sell the bonds on March 8. The bonds will be due in 2023, and once sold will have an interest rate of 0.41 percent per year.
The bonds will not be sold within the U.S. and will not be registered under the Securities and Exchange Act.
This post was updated to say Amgen will sell 700 million Swiss Francs worth of bonds, not $700 million worth of bonds.
