Goleta-based Yardi Systems said Aug. 4 that it now has 5,000 employees.
Yardi, a software developer that makes software and apps for small and large real estate managers, said in a news release it hired its 5,000th employee and now has large offices in India, Romania and Canada.
The company provides tenant-management software for some of the most iconic buildings in the world, including the Empire State Building, Freedom Tower and Dubai World Trade Center.
Last year, Yardi was the 17th largest employer in Santa Barbara County with 606 employees working out of its Goleta office. The company now has 35 offices worldwide, including the Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Singapore and China.
Yardi Systems said in March it will lease 28,887 square feet of space on Park View Court at The Collection in Oxnard and occupy two floors of that building.
“We never imagined that the company would grow to this size when we started out,” said Yardi Systems founder and CEO Anant Yardi in a news release.
