Six companies presented to investors, colleagues and friends Aug. 9 as the Goleta Entrepreneurial Magnet held a demo day for for regional companies.
The Goleta Entrepreneurial Magnet held the event for six teams that finished its seven week G2 Summer Accelerator at the Bacara Resort & Spa Aug.n9
Among the teams that presented was Vibe; which is developing a glove designed to help blind people see the world better and replace a walking cane for them. SoundCrutch, a company which is inventing a front facing speaker for rear facing phones also presented at the event.
Three of the companies previously went through the UC Santa Barbara’s Technology Management Program and pitched at its 2016 new venture competition. Each of the six participating companies also received $5,000 in seed funding.
