Camarillo-based Micronor will debut a new single channel signal conditioner created in collaboration with German company Optocon AG, at the SPIE Photonics West from Jan. 28-Feb 2.

The product, designated FOTEMP1-OEM-MNT, integrates fiber optic temperature sensing into industrial control systems, medical instrumentation or other designs, to provide temperature monitoring in challenging environments.

The technology could be applied in high voltage transformers and switchgear, MR imaging, semiconductor manufacturing, petrochemical plants, and equipment used in the food, material processing and bioengineering industries, amid electromagnetic and radio frequency interference, microwaves, high voltage, extreme magnetic fields, radiation, chemicals and explosive atmospheres.

The product retails for about $1,000 or as part of a system for $1,350.
