Rosewood Miramar Beach in Montecito marked the official start of the festive season Nov. 27 with the inaugural Miramar tree lighting celebration on the resort’s Great Lawn.
More than 1,800 people gathered together to enjoy a dynamic show that included memorable musical performances, the season’s first “snowfall,” the arrival of Santa, a spectacular light show and the lighting of a magnificent 60-foot Christmas tree.
The evening’s festivities were attended by Kevin Costner, Jon Hamm, celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson,beauty innovator and entrepreneur Cassandra Grey,fashion designer Charlotte Ronson, Santa Barbara County Supervisor Das Williams and Caruso Founder and CEO Rick Caruso.
The Rosewood Miramar Beach Christmas tree is one of the largest displays in the country, featuring more than 7,000 sparkling lights complemented by an assortment of 6,000 custom ornaments.
After the holidays, the stunning tree’s branches and trunk will be recycled for mulch and firewood, Respectively, with 10 new white fir trees planted in its place.
