Exer Urgent Care, which has two locations in Ventura County, announced COVID-19 testing at all its locations.

The tests return results within 24 to 48 hours. In an email announcing the availability, Exer said the testing is only for patients who are evaluated through either VirtualCare by Exer, a telehealth consultation service the company provides, or at one of the clinics.

The two Ventura County clinics include locations in Camarillo and Westlake Village. The company’s decision is related to an announcement by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, who expanded testing to anyone who is showing symptoms.

“Given this recent announcement and understanding how important it is to get test results back fast, our goal is to test as many patients as we can while testing supplies last,” the company’s announcement said.

Those who go to the clinics for testing won’t be screened for COVID-19 in the facility; instead, the company is using safety measures like testing patients in their cars to keep the disease from being spread in waiting and treatment rooms.
