Gary Cushing is retiring from his role as the CEO of the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce at the end of November, the chamber announced Oct. 30.
Cushing was originally brought on to be the interim CEO for six months and stayed in the role for seven years. Through his tenure, Cushing helped the chamber build its cash reserves and launched the Latinos in Business Committee and Startups Ventura County. Under his leadership the chamber has won accolades including the President’s Circle Award from the California Chamber of Commerce.
The Camarillo Chamber Board of Directors has formed a CEO Search Committee to find the next CEO, but it has not announced who the interim CEO will be.
