Small businesses often don’t have the resources to hire full-time financial executives. Enter CFOs-for-hire — a concept taking shape in the Tri-Counties as B2B CFO expands its reach.
B2B CFO, based in Phoenix, is a firm that provides part-time chief financial officers to small and medium-sized businesses. The idea is that many smaller companies can’t afford to hire full-time CFOs, but still need someone to work with on long-term financial planning.
Bob Glickman joined B2B CFO as a partner in November 2009, after serving as the CFO of Camarillo-based Harbor Freight Tools. The long-time Ventura County businessman and Camarillo resident now works with companies from Santa Barbara County to Los Angeles, focusing on issues such as managing cash flow, finding financing and better understanding accounting documents.
Editor’s note: An earlier version of this article incorrectly referred to B2B CFO as a franchise firm. It is an LLC, and the partners are members of the LLC.
