The Maria fire, which has burned more than 9,400 acres in the Santa Paula area since it began Oct. 31, is now 80 percent contained, Cal Fire reported Nov. 4.
Evacuation orders for about 11,000 people were lifted Nov. 3. The blaze, which has threatened agricultural areas of Camarillo, Somis, Santa Paula and East Ventura, is expected to be fully contained by Nov. 8.
