For the past six years, we’ve gotten to know and respect Ashish Vaidya, who rose through the ranks to become dean of the faculty at CSU Channel Islands. He’s a thoughtful economist with a knack for reading the thoughts that are in the minds of those in the audience at his public talks on global business and globalization.
Now Vaidya will return to CSU Los Angeles, where he has been named provost and vice president for academic affairs. Vaidya, who received his Ph.D. from UC Davis, started his career at CSULA and was the founding director its MBA program.
Vaidya has been a wise and discreet faculty leader, and he’s earned his promotion.
But the door is always open for him to return to the far more beautiful — and more entrepreneurial — campus at CSU Channel Islands.
