One of the reasons why Americans seem to be discontented with the economy is that many of our largest companies seem to have lost the ability to do what Intel and others did so effectively for decades – leapfrog the competition through superior strategy.
It’s certainly depressing to see that the hybrid automotive technology, which is saving our bacon [and our gasoline] comes from Toyota and not General Motors or Ford.
However, I’m not convinced that American ingenuity is going to take a back seat to anybody for very long.
And in recent weeks, I’ve run into a couple of folks right here in our backyard who demonstrate that our spirit of entrepreneurship is alive and kicking.
