Paso Robles is a natural spot for dynamic zinfandels — it features both intense summer heat as well as an evening ocean breeze that cools down the grapes. The unique micro-climate has brought a rush of entrepreneurs to the region in the past decade, each looking to bottle incredible wine in a burgeoning California region.
Several such wineries harvested their first fruit about five years ago and in half a decade, have already managed to win serious awards and high ratings. In honor of the Paso Robles Zinfandel Festival from March 20 to 22, it’s time to take a look at three such budding wineries that will be showcasing their wines at the event.
